Aaronia was founded in 2003 by Mr. Thorsten Chmielus and mainly produces Spectrum Analyzers, Generators, Antennas and Shielding Materials. In 2004 Aaronia shipped its first spectrum analyzer.

In 2008 Aaronia presented a new generation of the SPECTRAN spectrum analyzer, the V4 series. It was the first handheld RF analyzer to reach a sensitivity of -170dBm DANL – a world record.

In 2016 Aaronia released the SPECTRAN V5 series – the world’s first and only handheld, real-time spectrum analyzer. The frequency range for the V5 Series was extended from max. 9,4GHz to 20GHz.

Todays purpose of the enterprise is development, trade and sale of measuring equipment, technologies and rights of low and high frequency measurement technique, robotics as well as screening/shielding of RF and E-fields and fundamental research at the segment of communications and measurement engineering, furthermore the construction of own circuitries and measuring methods in particular for the development of extreme sensitive and precise high-frequency measurement devices.

The SPECTRAN HF-XFR PRO has been specifically designed for use in harsh conditions such as for military use, aerospace, mining, construction, research and development, even in the pouring rain , extreme temperatures and extremely dusty and dirty environments.

With this Spectrum Analyzer you can master all the challenges. It provides a powerful, extremely impact resistant Outdoor notebook as well as a high-end spectrum analyzer in one compact device. The HF-XFR PRO has been independently tested in accordance with MIL -STD- 810G , IP65 and MIL -STD- 461F.

The analyzer is based on a novel and patented by Aaronia method of spectrum analysis. The locating of interference sources and their causes , the determination of frequency and signal strength measurement and evaluation conform to the most complex limits – all this allows the SPECTRAN HF-XFR PRO .

Including antennas

The SPECTRAN HF-XFR PRO comes including an omnidirectional antenna (700MHz -2,5GHz) and a loop antenna (680MHz – 10GHz). In addition Aaronia has many optional antennas especially for pre-compliance and EMC testing in our product range. These offer a higher frequency range (up to 18GHz) and more profit (especially in the frequency range below 700 MHz). More details can be found under antennas.

108dB (E-Field) high end RFI & EMC screening mesh Aaronia Mesh

Aaronia presents the new stainless steel shielding fabric Aaronia Mesh. Ideal for industrial applications as well as for military, research and development. Aaronia mesh has been specifically designed for use under extreme conditions (salt air, extreme temperatures, vacuum, etc.).

Typical applications are for example Shielding of windows and window surfaces indoors and outdoors (due to the excellent transparency), construction of EMC test chambers and shielding of individual components that are under large temperature effects.

Also ideal for EMC sealing of ventilation, ventilation diffusers and holes in EMC cabins due to its resistance to rust.

Aaronia mesh is made of 100% stainless steel, is temperature stable up to 1200 degrees Celsius, has an extremely high attenuation, yet is extremely breathable.The material absorbs reliable E & H fields. In particular, in the kHz and low MHz range Aaronia mesh offers an extremely high shielding factor of up to 108dB (E-field).

Aaronia mesh is easy to process and can be cut with a standard pair of scissors.

The Aaronia GPS – Logger includes a total of 6 sensors, all of them on the cutting edge of technology, making it the world’s first stand-alone data logger with such a variety of sensors. Not to forget is also the very small form factor and the extremely high data rate of approx. 35 logs/second (freely adjustable). The logger with battery weighs just 88 grams.

The main purpose of the GPS logger consists of recording the position and even the orientation of the Aaronia antennas (HyperLOG X, HyperLOG EMI or Magnotracker series). The GPS sensor allows for easy collection and documentation of your measurement position , including elevation information.

Even more interesting is the Tilt-sensor and the digital compass, hereby the inclination and orientation of the antenna can be recorded and evaluated during the measurement. This special feature allows you to easily create an ” RF heat map ”
including frequency , direction and strength of an RF source within 360 degrees.

The Aaronia GPS-Logger offers a very fast update rate of up to 35 complete logs with all sensor data per second (on microSDCard and/or USB-Streaming) offering a “real time” display of the unit orientation. At maximum rate the Aaronia GPS-Logger will produce around 50MB/hour (uncompressed)! The maximum usable microSD volume is 2GB, offering a maximum recording time of about 2 days at full speed on the
microSD card. The data rate can be adjusted to much lower rates to keep data volume much lower offering long time recording on the microSD card over weeks or even months.

The Aaronia GPS – logger can be used with the internal LiPo battery (standalone) and / or USB (provides unlimited operating time).
The logger has three operating modes :
– Streaming / logging on the internal ( removable) microSD Card, completely independently as a stand- alone device
– Continuous recording via USB port (PC, Linux or MAC OS)
– Transfer of files stored in internal microSD Card (PC, Linux or MAC OS)

The Aaronia GPS – logger can be mounted directly on HyperLOG X, Magnotracker and HyperLOG EMI antennas (screws and adapter included). It can also be mounted on any other device , car, etc. with the included adapter. This only requires 2 holes to be drilled to attach the supplied adapter.

DF Antenna Array – RF Tracking Antenna (9kHz to 40GHz) IsoLOG 3D

Aaronia´s new 3D RF Tracking Antenna IsoLOG 3D includes a high density, customizable sector array. Additionally 8 or 16 specialized low frequency Antennas can be added to extend the frequency range down to 9kHz. In total up to 64 independent Antennas can be equipped.

The perfect solution for counter-surveillance measurements or drone-detection-systems (unmanned air vehicle). The wide frequency range eliminates the need of various antenna set ups to save space and system cost. This makes it usable for mounting on vehicles (e.g. drive test cars etc.) and for hidden operations. Looking like a satellite dish for camping vans the antenna is not recognized as a tracking antenna.

The IsoLOG 3D is sensitive to the majority of incoming signal polarizations including all linear polarizations, allowing reliable detection of signals including those invisible to most DF systems that use only vertically polarized antennas.

The antenna only needs a Power-over-Ethernet connection for easy integration and control over any existing network. A powerful control software is included for free, for operation on Windows systems. The control software allows various tracking and selection setups, e.g. sweep all antennas horizontal, vertical, switch all in one sector etc. This makes it the perfect tool to track signals in no time.

The integrated switch array uses high-end digital switches instead of common RF-relays, which offers a ultra-high switching speed and a garanteed lifetime operation, even at 24/7 operation.

The antennas and the electronic is protected by a included radom which can be ordered in any color and optional prints. The radom is watertight, shock- and heat-proofed to widthstand even hardest conditions. With the “auto rotate-switch function” it can be used for any Spectrum Analyzer.

On request we offer a detailed mounting description or a customized mounting plate for fast and easy integration, as well as customized colors for the antenna radom (RAL color tables).

The Aaronia spectrum monitoring solution includes the IsoLOG 3D Tracking Antenna, a real-time Spectrum Analyzer and a complex tracking software (drone detection, radar warning, building-, property- and industrial surveillance).

Spectran V5 Command Center (9kHz (1Hz) – 20GHz)

The SPECTRAN V5 RF Command Center is the culmination of Aaronia’s efforts in building it´s Spectrum Analyzer Battleship:

It scans 20GHz in less than 20 milliseconds, which is an astonishing speed of 1000GHz per second.

This high-end spectrum analyzer offers the RF performance you need with all measurement details available at the same time.
The setup is completely customizable and thanks to it’s cascadable system docks up to 2 independent analyzers.

The three large full HD widescreen monitors display and capture the bandwith of up to 175MHz in real time (or 350MHz with two internal analyzers), with an POI
below 1uS! And with up to 40TB ultra-fast SSD drives you basically have an „unlimited“ recording time, as only 1GB is needed per minute.

The command center has a wide measuring range of up to 20GHz, with over five million samples per second. A 14 bit dual 256 MSPS I/Q generates 500 MSPS,
and an optional I/Q generator enlarges the range to 6GHz. The optional power meter will help you reach 40GHz.

The hardware side of the computer also features the best available setup, as the SPECTRAN V5 RF Command Center runs on an Intel i7 with 16 Gigabyte RAM and an nVidia GeForce GTX graphic card, which enables gapless streaming and playback.

Spectran HF-80200 V5 RSA (9kHz – 20GHz)

Aaronia presents the SPECTRAN V5 RSA, a real-time remote controlled Spectrum Analyzer designed to capture even shortest signal transmissions.

The SPECTRAN RSA Spectrum Analyzer Series offers an incredible performance at an unbeatable price-performance. Each RSA unit can be mounted into a common 19“ instrument rack and requires one height unit (1U) only. Thus the RSA is perfectly suitable for stationary use in laboratories as well as, thanks to the low power consumption, for mobile use in measuring vehicles or satellite broadcasting vans.

The Analyzer is remote controllable through the USB interface or Lan/Ethernet, allowing a continuous logging and streaming of any frequency range and direct access to the Analyzer through each PC connected to the Internet.
