The AeroVironment Snipe Nano UAS is the latest Tactical unmanned aircraft system innovation from AeroVironment that provides today’s defenders with critical information whenever and wherever it is needed.

Weighing less than 5 ounces, the Snipe requires no assembly and can be operational in less than 60 seconds, providing dismounted troops with over 15 minutes of immediate organic tactical overmatch – over the wall, down the alley, around the hill.

With minimal training, Snipe is operated with an intuitive touchscreen tablet and can be controlled manually or programmed for GPS waypoint autonomous navigation. Each air vehicle includes both an electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) camera that transmits video real-time for day and night operation.

EO and IR Cameras

Snipe is equipped with integrated EO (electro-optical) and IR (Infrared) cameras that provide much needed situational awareness for the warfighter who requires the proper intelligence to complete their mission.

Soldier Borne Sensing

Weighing only 140 grams, the Snipe system allows soldiers to wear it on their body where it is easily accessible and can be rapidly deployed, as to not interfere with their existing tactical equipment.


Snipe can fly at speeds over 22 mph and is virtually inaudible at 100 feet range, making it the perfect system for short range covert missions where the intelligence gathered directly affects the safety of the soldiers operating it.


Controlled through an intuitive user interface on a ruggedized tablet, Snipe requires minimal training for operation and was designed for easy repair in the field.
